By using the Tool, you agree to these terms and acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Tool.

Age Requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to use this Tool. If you are under 16, you may only use this Tool with parental consent and supervision.

Purpose and Scope

The Breach Check Tool is designed to help individuals and organizations determine whether their email address or domain name appears in publicly known data breaches. The Tool serves the following purposes:

• Cybersecurity awareness and education
• Personal security assessment
• Organizational security monitoring
• Incident response preparation

Important Limitations: This Tool is not intended for bulk checking, commercial surveillance, or targeting third parties without consent. Results may not be comprehensive of all existing breaches.

Acceptable Use

By using the Tool, you agree to:

• Only submit email addresses or domains you own or have explicit permission to check
• Use the Tool for legitimate cybersecurity purposes only
• Not exceed 5 queries per day per IP address
• Not use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access the Tool
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Tool
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Data Collection and Processing

When you use the Breach Check Tool, we collect and process:

• The domain and your email address (used to validate that you are authorized to access breach information for that domain)
• Your IP address
• Cookie/session identifiers
• Timestamp and number of breach records
• Severity level (Low, Medium, High) of results
• Marketing consent status (if given)

Legal Basis for Processing:

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For processing the email/domain you submit
• Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): For IP address processing, security monitoring, and service improvement

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for the following periods:

• Email/Domain data: 6 months for analysis and security auditing
• IP addresses: 13 months for security monitoring and fraud prevention
• Session data: 30 days for technical functionality
• Results data: 6 months for service improvement

After these periods, data is either securely deleted or anonymized. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

Result Delivery & Access

To ensure privacy, breach results are only shared via a secure link sent to the submitted business email address. This prevents unauthorized access and protects your organization’s sensitive data. If the domain and email do not match, you will be prompted to contact our team for manual verification.

Marketing Consent

If you opt in via the checkbox provided, we may send occasional cybersecurity tips, breach alerts, and product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

We use a third-party Service API to verify breach data.

• You authorize us to securely transmit your submitted data to the third-party service
• We have appropriate data processing agreements in place
• Your data may be processed outside the EU/EEA with appropriate safeguards
• The service provider acts solely on our instructions and cannot use your data for other purposes

Your Data Protection Rights

Your Data Rights:

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting info@ebuildersecurity.com. We will respond within 30 days and may require identity verification to protect your privacy.

Consent and Authorization

Before using the Tool, you must:

• Confirm you are authorized to scan the submitted domain by entering a matching business email address
• Check the consent box explicitly agreeing to these Terms
• Authorize us to process your data and query a trusted third-party breach data provider

Optionally, you may consent to receive cybersecurity tips, alerts, and marketing updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)

You can withdraw your consent at any time, though this may prevent us from providing the service.

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit and at rest
• Access controls and authentication
• Regular security audits and monitoring
• Secure data transmission protocols
• Incident response procedures

Limitations and Disclaimers

The Tool is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Completeness or accuracy of breach data
• Availability of the Tool at all times
• That the Tool will meet your specific requirements

Liability Limitation: eBuilder Security is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of this Tool.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, software, and technology related to the Tool are owned by eBuilder Security and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we will provide 30 days’ notice.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any disputes through direct communication. Please contact us using the information below if any issues arise.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by GDPR, unless the breach is unlikely to result in risk to your rights and freedoms.

Severability
